Crusaders flanker Matt Todd has been called up to train with New Zealand before the first Test against England in Auckland.
Todd hasn't played for the Crusaders since May 5 after injuring his calf, but comes into the squad as cover for Sam Cane.
Cane picked up a knock to his right knee during the Chiefs' loss to the Waratahs last weekend. He has not been officially ruled out.
Todd's inclusion sees highly-rated Hurricanes flanker Ardie Savea still kept out of the squad, despite going on the tour of Europe last year as an apprentice.
Crusaders prop Joe Moody has also been called into the squad.
