All Blacks prop Owen Franks has extend his contract with New Zealand Rugby and the Crusaders until 2017.
The 26-year-old tighthead has played more than 80 games for the Crusaders since making his Super Rugby debut in 2009 and has become a stalwart in Christchurch.
The news is also a boost the the New Zealand national side as it means the 2011 World Cup winner - who has 54 caps for the All Blacks - will be available for the British and Irish Lions tour in 2017.
"He is the consummate professional, never giving less than 100 per cent in training or when playing, and is always leading by example," Crusaders coach Todd Blackadder told Fairfax media.
"He has the drive and commitment to stay at the top of his game for a long while yet, so it is brilliant to have Owen on board for the next three years at least."
