The New Zealand Rugby Union have confirmed that they are trying to negotiate Sonny Bill Williams' return to the 15-man game.
Williams is one of the most coveted players across multiple codes and the All Black has stated in the past that he would be open to a possible return to union.
Not a man to stay in one place for too long, Williams' future has been a hot topic despite being in just his first season back in the National Rugby League.
With the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England not too far along on the horizon, Williams may be considering another switch, and the NZRU are certainly open to having him back with chief executive Steve Tew confirming that there have been talks with Williams' agent, Khoder Nasser.
"Our guys have been talking to Khoder for some time," Tew told Newstalk ZB. "As has always been the case with Khoder it's a very up-front conversation, you know exactly what their intentions are right from word go and we wouldn't be having those discussions if we didn't think there was a possibility of Sonny Bill coming back and playing."
