The up and coming import brought in from Zimbabwe to shore up a massive lack of Oz talent will eventually overtake the master, and it will be interesting to see how much he learned in his last opportunity to grovel at the master's feet. If McCaw continues to decline at the current rate, Poptop should overtake him in ...oh,..3 or 4 years?

pocock against the welsh was nothing short of amazing. i dont think leading will be a problemo for pocock he has captained the force for a while and hes the type of bloke who just leads by example, doesnt say too much leaves that for berrick and genia

Interesting match-up although nowadays the role of openside is more than just the ruck and all round Richie is a much better player, his ball running, ball skills, defence and obviously captaincy, is light years ahead. Even South Africa realise the need for an all round 7, which is why Brussouw isn't involved at the moment.

The stories used to read "Pocock ready to take on McCaw." Now it's the other way around.

Sir Richie is a warrior though, and he has had an amazing, long career with still lots of life left...but he must make way for the crown Prince Pocock.

I'm looking forward to Watching McCaw in what is probably his last year playing for the All Blacks...He'll want to go out with a bang. I'm expecting him to play a great tournament, although I expect he'll be outplayed by Pocock who is the new McCaw.

Thats OK Trinats - we all know that Pocock only has one string to his bow. He'll be on the deck. So he'll make about one out of every 4 rucks. McCaw will be at most of them.

D. Pocock is at the moment not among the best No.7s in the world. S. Warbuton and S.O'Brian are better than him. R. McCaw is still up there but not for much longer. Pocock better improve his game or move to Europe because Wallabies got potential in L.Gill and M. Hooper. I hope McCaw is not allowed to cheat and get away with murder on Saturday.

Will Richie even be playing 7? It's just mind games re the captaincy but I hope his face dodges the knees coming into the ruck in the early stages.

Some old bloke Trinats ?

You mean captain of the team that dominates their respective sport far more than any other in any sport, world wide ?

Oh and Player of the Year twice, or 3 times ?

The world's best openside flanker against some old bloke with that much strapping, he looks like the michelin man. No contest.

"We've got to make sure we don't allow him to do that," added McCaw

I think you find with a NH ref the rucks will be policed and you'll have to stay on side and keep your hands out this time Richie !!!
