You mean weak teams like the Crusaders trinats2?

Cooper is only a couple of drinks away from his next drama... he won't be factoring in any of the RC.

Plaenty of SBW haters around. The guy is making a living like all professional sportsman. SBW has developed in to a great player and will return to Rugby and I am sure star for the AB's in the next WC. In the meantime should make mincemeat of the Aussies.

You always pick your best available team for the big matches, SBW is available & the best 12 in NZ right now therefore should be picked... so with Kahui, Toevaa & Ellison also injured & Fruen still & frustratingly going missing for long periods it's Nonu & SBW in midfield, innit.
Meanwhile I see the master baiter's at it again, claiming Cooper was suspended for 2 games v NZ last year when we all know he played all 3, and bringing up the "man short" bollox again when under Deans oz have had 1 red (Mitchell) & 2 yellow cards v NZ whereas NZ have had I think 5 yellows against oz: no doubt this will now be cited as proof that NZ cheats more!

Interesting variation of feelings about SBW, I have a sneeking suspicion that the negative comments are driven more by envy than rationale. Nobody can deny that SBW is an exceptional athelete who is honing his skills with every game and creates a world of problems for his oposition. Yes it's a shame he chops and changes teams and codes but it's his life, not ours, to do with as he pleases. For me, I'd have him in my National team anyday and I doubt there is a poster out there who would say otherwise.

Looking forward to seeing how he goes. Dagg and Nonu sniffing around SBW shoulders looking for an offload will be great to watch.
Since he looks like he'll be starting at 12 I wonder who starts at 10? DC or the inform Cruden who looks to have built a dominant combo with SBW this season. They looked great together v the Irish.
I was kinda hoping to see a 10. Cruden 12. Carter 13. SBW combo for the tests. Perhaps they'll start with DC @ 10 then depending how the game goes shift Carter out to 12 and bring on Cruden. Sub SBW or Nonu. Looking forward to the RC

Great news for Australia. Dusting the shelf off already !!!
FISH:
Cooper had a shocker of a WC. Was also suspended for two games against NZ last year, but has won the rest (when Australia has had 15 players on the field). Won the Tri nations.
SBW can't even get a start for NZ and when he came off the bench in the WC got sinbinned with his first tackle. He is just a league player with an off load, and does well against weak teams.

FISH, ArmchairGeneral, The guys game has been growing, and sadly Just as he is starting to deliver on some of his potential he is leaving.
Wait for this years tests before writing him off.
i do not admire his motives/morals jumping codes, but the guy could well have been a superstar.

SBW and Nonu together will be a great watch but it might take a game or two to settle that combo. Looking forward to Dean's defensive system to counter that.
I get the feeling that SBW is finally starting to really enjoy his rugby. He has had an excellent season for the chiefs and his rugby nous is increasing.

as a coach, you pick the BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE....and if Sonny Bill is one such player, why not??
Good to see people complaining about it (esp the Boks & Oz supporters)... it just means that they dont want to see the ABs win again.

Interesting that a lot of people think SBW is overated, but I see more and more players adopting his off load every week. Great to watch.

Good to hear, he's the best option for the tests and the Bledisloe cup isn't the place to develop a 12 for the next world cup, maybe save that for the South Africans :)

The chap has created some problems for us at intl level (South Africa) mostly if not exclusively for his offloads. So he is a good player.

on an international level, sonny really isnt that exciting, kinda one dimensional, sure the off loads are stylish and what not, he's like tuilagi(england 13) but better at offloads, big deal, in a sense he's like quade cooper, great in super rugby, but just not there in internationals, in my opinion of course

No more exciting than any other centre? So then do people get excited everytime he has the ball?

mo' money mo' money, give someone who truly gives a damn a shot, sonny bill is not in it for the long run, so give it to someone you can develop for the next world cup

Who cares. At international level he's no more exciting than any other AB centre. I would like to see ABs give a new guy with long term selection ambitions.

Good news. I don't see why this wasn't discussed before. There was never any reason why he shouldn't have played for NZ before going to Japan.
