Dave Rennie also helped progress some real up and coming players at Manawatu - Kurt Baker, Andre Taylor, Nick Crosswell to name a few. Not to mention that all the Whitelock brothers are Manawatu born players so if they had stayed at home instead of moving south the Turbos would be even more competitive. Sevens legend Tomasi Cama is also on the Manawatu roster and there is a young winger we also have high hopes for. Despite Manawatu being looked upon as more of a development Rugby Union than one of the power houses in NZ rugby it is only because of the player development that the other unions and NZ rugby as a whole gets better.

"What is interesting at Manawatu is that their recent success stories have been the 'smaller' men like Aaron Cruden and Aaron Smith. Emery could be next to make the step up. "
Good thing for him that he is not Italian: he wouldn't have a chance to play for the national team as he is too small.
This shows once more what damage can be made to all Italian rugby movement by a stupid rule designed by a stupid President.
Good luck mate, and enjoy all the rugby you can play.
