@ManWarrior.....easy champ, just seeing who I could wind up...seemed like the perfect article for it ;) If you are as angry as you seem about my obvious (I thought it was anyway) attempt at winding a few saffas up, feel free to arrange a trip to the States....I'll arrange the octagon, you can get rid of your frustrations and I'll show you why I'm known as "Safehands" ;)
Just so you know, I quite like Bismarck as both a man and a player....and yes I agree, he is the best hooker in the world.
@ new_j4a....not that you care but my second language is Welsh, I also speak Afrikaans fluently and know a fair bit of Zulu.

@safehands (are your hands safe for piano?), when he made the statement he was referring to the sport rugby and not the South African sportsman...it's called a metaphor and not a comparison in this case. Go Bokke!!!

@safehands, What's your second language? Do you do many interviews in it?

@safehands - I disagree Rugby can be likened to a war. War is essentially a battle of wits with a result determined through physical prowess and mental attrition. It is a team effort with some individual hero's, these hero's mainly stand-out because they are with a good team to start with. War is fought (played) using front-line and back-line warriors (players) offering cover to the infiltrators who break the defensive lines of the opposition in order to get to the real target. So as you can see, he may be smarter than you think.
The key difference is their are no on field referees in the war zone.
BTW if you watch super 15 you may note that Bismark is a fairly okay bloke, generally hard but fair. We all have our days.

@safehands. I think you are being harsh on Bismark. i think he was speaking methaphorically. I doubt English is his first language. He is the best hooker in the world by a mile. Would hav ehad more caps to his name if Pdivvy had not stuck with Smit.

Has he ever fought in a war? I reckon the men out in Afghanistan would disagree with his sentiments...another Bok player who has rather lofty opinions on his physical prowess I'm afraid. He is hard.....but there are harder out there....and fairer!! Cage fighting......now that is a physical sport with "a little bit of rules"!!

Bismarck to get physical. A novel idea. That will catch England completely unawares!

"Rugby is like war with a little bit of rules" - That has to be the quote of the year.
