why are we not surprised.... i reckon Bekker spends more time on the physios couch than on the field of play

Could be, however the Celtic League is not a very competitive league. Would not be surprised if he will be a liability at Test Level.

Playing Alberts at lock is not a bad idea.

Bejkkers loss is bad for the Stormers and the Boks as he was in form and playing really well

Disappointing but not the end of the world. Bekker is like Ryan Kankowski - very good at Super rugby level but has never quite managed the step up to international rugby. Just play Alberts at lock and pick Marcell Coetzee, Keegan Daniel and Siya Kolisi as the loose trio and we'll be fine. Or even better, bring back Bakkies Botha for the three tests...that'll set the cat amongst the roses

That is a blow! Gonna be lacking some experience in that second row.
Juandre Kruger would do the job but I'm just worried that we will be missing a guy who has played a few games at international level.
Etzebeth needs to be there for sure but needs a guy next to him who has been there before... What about Muller? Had a great season in Ireland, has lead the boks before.

Over-played once again. I was afraid of this. Bekker's work rate is extremely high and even though not the captain, he is one of the leaders of the team. Heynecke Meyer will be pardoned for feeling just a little bit irritated with the Stormers management.
