Well... as a South African I don't like it, but I think Jake is probably thinking about some bulky forwards. An area where AUS generally lack some depth.

For once I'm with you, Trinats.
If I were a Brumbies fan I would take this article as a worrying sign that Jake White's head is in the wrong place. He is supposed to be developing the game in Australia, not South Africa. And if he is predisposed to importing South Africans then he will serve neither the Brumbies nor Australia well.

I don't agree. The three Sanzar nations appear to be doing just fine. After all, they contribute so much to the game in the northern hemisphere, while continuing to enjoy the lion's share of success in matches with their northern rivals.
Does Super Rugby need to grow at any greater rate? It has already expanded from 10 to 15 teams since the mid-nineties.
Your comment seems to be a platitude without substance.

I agree GoWalesGo. Open it up and let the players have a change of scenery. Wages aren't going to be massively inconsistant and as long as there's a limit on how many foreign players you can have then it should all be fine.

What happened to growing the game in Australia..? Every opportunity given to a South African boy is an opportunity less for an Australian boy...
This is just a way for Jake to delude himself into thinking he's still coaching the Springboks. He'll fill that whole team with South Africans if he's allowed to... He even tried to convince Eddie Jones to borrow Danie Rossouw. And they're damn sure going to play the same way the Springboks did under his rule...
I can't wait to see how he measures up in Super Rugby... :)

I don't see the problem. Super rugby will one day have to be open or else it will never grow.
