Former Kings Director of Rugby Alan Solomons says South Africa can afford to rest some of their stars for Sunday's clash with Scotland.
Solomons, now head coach at Edinburgh, feels the Boks have too much depth and experience to fall foul of the Scots at Murrayfield.
"I'd really be surprised if the Boks slip up. They simply have too much ammunition for Scotland," Solomons told Die Burger website.
"If South Africa rest Bismarck du Plessis, then there's simply an Adriaan Strauss to call on. Adriaan could even take over the captaincy if the Boks want to give Jean de Villiers a breather."
And while the recently-appointed boss of the capital side can attest to the small player pool at Scotland's disposal, Solomons confirms the hosts will be relishing the challenge the match presents.
"There's not much depth in Scottish rugby," added Solomons.
"They are very competitive and will play with a lot of fire. Scotland realise it's going to be a big physical challenge but they've never shied away from that."
