Low blow for Scotland

Moray Low Scotland

Out for at least two months: Moray Low

Glasgow prop Moray Low has been ruled out of Scotland's November Test series due to a serious knee injury.

The 15-cap prop is set for an eight-to-ten week spell on the sidelines after sustaining medial ligament damage during Friday's PRO12 win over Zebre at Scotstoun. The good news however is that the injury does not require surgery.

Low was called up for the final two games of Scotland's successful June tour after being left out of the initial squad.

The Warriors have suffered a double blow with winger DTH van der Merwe also sidelined for six weeks with a hamstring injury.

"DTH and Moray are both important players for us, so it's clearly disappointing to have them unavailable over the next few weeks," Warriors Head coach Gregor Townsend told glasgowwarriors.org.

"The news isn't as bad as it could have been, though, and I know both guys will be working extremely hard under the care of our medical team to return to the field and continue making a significant contribution to our season."

Yeah bad luck for Low and Scotland ,also got to agree that prop cover looking a tad thin atm, lets hope E.Murrey and the other props step up and play.Because @scot_rsa i too think the backline is shaping up nicly under S.Johnstons guidance, although its a shame about Hogg and Ansbro, they would have been great additions imo.

Nae luck. Prop cover getting thin and this lad also deserves some good luck. Hopefully he and Jon Welsh are back fighting fit soon cos our backs are shaping up, they just need the ball!
