I think Deluca is a confidence player. His tail is up at the moment so I'll back him to perform on Saturday. Scotland have pace and invention in the back three with Hogg, Jones and Evans coming off the bench. Laidlaw needs to cut out the midfeild and use the short side as much as possible and we're in with a good chance of a win. Scotland need to put in an 80 minute performance however.

Scotland in my opinion certainly have the beating of Ireland. Confidence is what they are lacking... they have suffered from a poor rub of the green more than anything. Those 50/50 calls that went against them knocks their confidence and composure... they are scoring tries and creating the opportunities.
Ireland have not really shown much apart from the last 20 minutes against Italy and I feel that altough a better side the Irish will struggle with their injury loss and quick turn around.
Hard fought but comfortable first win of the season to Scotland.

Best chance they've had in a long time, with BOD and O'Connel sidelined, but the worry is that despite all their endevour, Scotland just don't seem to have the players. DeLuca just doesn't do it at this level in fact i was amazed that he actually timed a pass properly for a score against the French. But Morrison isn't what you would call a skillful player and despite the Irish centres not being up to scratch I can't see the Scots outsmarting them in the middle of the park. If they can get the edge in the back row and the Irish forwards lose their discipline theres a chance. Not much in it though. Penalties will decide it.
