Clermont scrum-half Morgan Parra is set to appear before a disciplinary committee on October 16 following a punching incident in their clash with Bordeaux-Bègles over last weekend.

The incident took place during Sunday's 40-11 victory for the Top 14 heavyweight side.

Parra was yellow carded during the match after landing several punches on Bordeaux flanker Gautier Gibouin, who was battling with two other Clermont players at the time, Davit Zirakashvili and Napolioni Nalaga.

A host of other players will also appear before the disciplinary committee, including Parra's team-mate Julien Bardy, Racing-Metro flanker Bernard Le Roux, Biarritz lock Pelu Taele and Brive scrum-half Thomas Sanchou, the latter two red carded for dangerous tackles on the weekend and suspended until their hearings.
