@ GCP_Jones

Yeah I smell bullshit here Ger Earls is in his mid 40's and played before the professional era. He represented Munster plenty of times and was even called up to Ireland trials where he was looked over due to his tattoos as opposed to his ability. For note Ger Earls played against the great Brendan Mullins and hit him so hard in the first tackle of the game Mullins needed to be subbed.

Don't spout nonsensical bullshit mate, makes you look like a tool.

ROG is on the bench cos Jackson had only 60% kicking success rate in Fiji match. Deccie is also probably thinking back to Paddy's Heino Cup final performance when he folded like a cheap suit. If sexton had to come off after 15 minutes who would you trust - the legend O'Gara or Paddy the flake?

Earls isn't a 13, he's a winger, Murray is our No.4 scrum-half and Zebo is a winger, not a 15, as will be shown against Argentina, the back row is unbalanced as a unit and has little ability going forward...The only hope, is that Sexton (not Kidney's favourite 10, remember?) will see Ireland scrape home somehow...But this is not going to happen because the Pumas are going to win, and when they do, hopefully that will be the end of Kidney's reign of horror

@TVaddict...

Your observations on our team are spot on,the dog in the street would agree with you.

But in Deccie's world things are just a little STTTrrrRRRRaannnnge.

A colleague in work who's a Munster supportor says that the reason he keeps picking Earls in his favoured position(and no one else's) is due to the fact that he never gave his father Ger Earls who was a very highly regarded back row player a profressional contract with Munuster and is trying to make up for it.

Guys Jackson is not so great. Maddigan is miles better. Jackson was careless against Figi with his kicks. Plus he has a very irritating face!!

Paul Marshall made one very poor kick, missed two tackles and fluffed two passes in his short appearance v Fiji... so Norm I think you need to watch that match again before making retarted comments !!!!!!

@Theshaw

Kidney doesn't seem to like him, he's ireland's best 6 after Ferris but that doesn't seem to be recognised. Jeremy Guscott said he was sure to be in the team when asked who he thought would replace Ferris, you know 3 heineken cup medals on all that.

As for Ruddock, brought in to hold a tackle bag, he still needs time to get back up to pace after his injury. that said Leinster look like they're back tohaving a rediculous number of back rows. McLoughlin,Heaslip,Jennings,O'Brien,Ruddock, Jordi Murphy coming through and Ryan back in training. Leo A'uva is too bad either when they need a stop gap

@Theshaw Because McLaughlin is terrible... actually yea, why isn't he in the squad !?

One change.......seriously....one change! We have no hope of progression with deccie! Ogara....ancient......ocallaghan....ancient and neither starting regularly for Munster!Darcy....ancient.....8 of the squad are represented by the out of form province Munster ! Ulster haven't lost a single game this season, playing excellent rugby have only 4 represented! Why not have Jackson on the bench for the old fella Ogara! Dan tuoghy was in the Celtic league team of the season last year and no where near the team! Young guys need a chance, I would love to see more fellas on the right side of 25 starting, so much for blooding some of the exciting talent we saw last week against Fiji. I'm depressed.........

Congratulations CG, well deserved.

But why is ROG sitting on the bench at almost 36 years old, Imo Paddy Jackson well and truly nailed that place last weekend.

D'Arcy / Earls in centre??? D'Arcy will have to be pronounced dead before he's dropped.

I have been an avid supporter of the national team for 40 years, but I find my patience stretched by the current managerial / coaching setup.

Mr. Kidney for gods sake stop looking behind you and start looking in front, or, better still, just hand in your resignation, your parochial and conservative approach is killing the national team.

Ireland should win this, but that almost makes their position more unstable as Argentina are at their best when they are underdogs.

Although I haven't been keeping up with Irish club rugby much lately, I find some of the selections strange. I would have thought Bow at 13, Earls at 15, and Zebo at 14 would have suited their individual strengths more. I've never seen O'Callaghan do anything good ever, and surely Henderson is much better player than the very overrated Heaslip? Plus shouldn't Marshal (9) at least be on the bench?

Norm says...

Actually have to come back to this, despite the fact we won well last week, and the fact that Murray's kicks had a degree more effectiveness than usual, was there anyone else other than me that noticed the step change in the performance of the half backs when Marshall came on last week. Murray is the only test SH who is slower than Mike Phillips at getting the ball away, and the argument for his physicality against the Pumas doesnt stack up quite frankly, because I cant recall a game where his physical presence has really made a massive difference, and even on that count why the hell have Reddan on the bench. Marshall is so far ahead of them both in terms of speed and repertoire its embarassing

I feel a visit to a bar stool coming on for Saturday, Lets hope we put in one of those big performances that shows what Irish rugby is capable off, and the Puma's will be thinking exactly the same.

May the best team win, as long as its wearing green or black,does anyone know what strip we will be playing in? .

Happy for Gilroy

Paul Marshall, you were warned not to get up on Kidney's daughter, you will pay the price probably for most of your professional career!

I love the description of Darcy and Earls continuing their centre partnership, when did they start it?
