Well it will be a great loss. His pace and ability to read the game and the opportunities was great. But lets face it at 35 he would practically have been at the end of his career anyway, especially at an International level. I wish him a well earned rest and thank him for much enjoyment over the years.

This is a real shame, David Wallace just one of those players that never had a bad game,who still had a couple of years left in the tank I reckon.

A truly great player, he has been unbelievable for Munster and Ireland for a lot of years now.

Don't think hes a Limerick native though, isn't he Cork born and bred?

The man is my (and many of my friends') favourite player of all time. Massive athleticism - pumping legs, ripping balls and very humble to boot. Sad to see him leave the way he did but that's rugby. IMO up there with O'Driscoll (above POC/ROG) as most important irish player of last 20yrs.
