It appears the Ospreys could soon be breathing a sigh of relief as prop Adam Jones gave the clearest indication yet that he will be remaining in Wales.
The 32-year-old tighthead, who has been on two British and Irish Lions tours and amassed 92 Welsh caps, is nearing a conclusion on his future.
Jones is one of six Welsh players to have been considered for a central contract, with Cardiff Blues flank Sam Warburton already receiving one.
And it seems the experienced tighthead prop is on the verge of following his international skipper.
"I'll probably be staying in Wales," the front-row forward revealed in his BBC Sport column.
"I will hopefully have everything done this week.
"But I've been hoping for that for the last month so I'm not going to cross my fingers.
"It's dragging on a bit now. I've got to make sure everything's right, but hopefully this week and touch wood, [it will be] sorted by the weekend."
