Departing: Andries Pretorius

Cardiff Blues and Wales back-row Andries Pretorius will join Premiership side Worcester Warriors at the end of the season.

Pretorius joins a flow of Welsh stars leaving the regions in favour of top-flight English rugby or the French Top14.

South African-born Pretorius has been with the Blues for some four years, and captained the outfit last season.

He qualified for Wales through the three-year residency regulation, winning his first Test cap on this year's June tour of Japan.

The 28-year-old could find himself playing Championship rugby in 2014, however, with Dean Ryan's Warriors currently sitting 10 points adrift at the foot of the Premiership table.

Pretorius joins team-mate and fellow back-row Robin Copeland in announcing his departure from the Arms Park; with Irishman Copeland Munster-bound next season in the hope of kick-starting his international career.

Wales Online reports that, with the Blues now seeking to bolster their back-row options, Scarlets' flanker Josh Turnbull may be a target.
