Lions hero and Cardiff Blues full-back Leigh Halfpenny is set for a move to Top 14 side Toulon, reports suggest.
The French club are rumoured to be keen to secure the services of the 24-year-old, who was named Man of the Lions Series against Australia.
The Welshman is allegedly flying out to see the European champions' training facilities following the conclusion of his outing for Cardiff Blues against Leinster this coming weekend.
"As soon as the Cardiff Blues game in Leinster is over, Leigh Halfpenny will fly to France with his agent, Tim Lopez, to meet Toulon's staff on Saturday," the report in Midi Olympique says.
"He will visit the club's facilities and discuss a potential contract for next season.
"It is believed that several clubs in England and France (including Racing Metro and Clermont) were interested, but Toulon is the only one to have opened talks.
"Toulon wanted to meet the player to make sure he was not trying to use them as a lever to negotiate a bigger contract at home.
"Bernard Laporte is very keen to get Halfpenny, a player he sees as a "role model".
"He rates Welsh rugby highly and is also interested in Sam Warburton. Toulon would like to sign the deal before the two teams meet in the Heineken Cup on the 19th of October."
