Bradley Davies for Cardiff Blues

Ligament damage: Bradley Davies

Wales and Cardiff Blues second row Bradley Davies will have surgery next week after suffering ankle ligament damage in training.

Davies participation in the upcoming Six Nations is now in doubt although his recovery time will be revealed following his operation.

"Cardiff Blues can confirm that the Blues and Wales second row forwad has suffered ankle ligament damage in training," said the club in a statement.

"Bradley will have an operation early next week and an accurate timescale on his recovery will be assessed after the operation.

"It has been an eventful weekend for Bradley whose partner, Laura, gave birth to their first daughter Elle Cheryl Davies this morning (Saturday) at 8.45am."
