Can face Wallabies: Luke Charteris
Wales have been handed a boost with the news that Perpignan have allowed Luke Charteris to play in his country's clash with Australia on December 1.
According to BBC Wales Sport, the club have agreed to a deal to allow the lock to play in the game with Australia but not against Argentina.
"We are delighted to have come to an agreement with Perpignan which will allow Luke to be available to be considered for selection for the Wallabies game," said coach Rob Howley.
"This is a major step forward for us and shows that our trip out to France to talk face to face with the clubs has paid dividends.
"We have reached a compromise which allows Perpignan to have Luke available to them when they need him most and see no reason why we can't build on this relationship in the future."
Perpignan, who are currently ninth in the Top 14, face Agen at home on December 1 and have decided they would rather have Charteris for their earlier fixture against Biarritz. That makes the forward available to face the Wallabies. According to BBC Wales Sport, there is no indication a similar deal has been struck with Perpignan team-mate James Hook.
