Fair play to Shane.... what a great opportunity for a lad from the valleys to experience something completely different..... and the rugby should not be too physical! What a great opportunity for the Club as well to hire a wonderful entertainer... a world class player, who will also be inspirational to those players around him.

I don't blame him, get a 6 figure salary for a year playing in an easy league (by his standards) try out Japan (almost like a 12 month holiday) and then go home to a cushy ambassodorial job...I've got to feel for the Japanese though, he'll be scoring for fun in a second division side...

Agree with jontheref.
Not sure what his PR job at the Ospreys would have entailed, and this would be beneficial to Japanese rugby (and undoubtedly a good bonus to the retirement pot),
Hope we'll see him back in Wales in some role in the future though, whether that's coaching, punditry, or whatever.

Great.
Take the money, introduce some mare Japanese to the game.
Their kids and athletes will bebefit from having Shane there.
great addition to the retirement pot!
