If I had to do a composite Wales/England team I think Ashton, Tuilagi, maybe Lawes and probably the English hooker (Rees if he was fit) would be in it, how times have changed, 10 years ago it would have been an all England team. Wales are more powerful, better in the scrum, stronger, more experienced, better at the breakdown and a more settled team. However, I worry about the Welsh line out and their goal kicking. This game will be close, England seldom lose at Twickenham and their current team are on the up. Only Ireland in the NH have a good record at HQ in recent times. Should be a great game!

Fella,.. I can't tell you how much tools like that one make me cringe,.. and I feel compelled to apologise on behalf of everyone with a brain and even the smallest knowledge of this sport,.. but his other contribution is a whole sentence and with only the really hard long word spelled wrong... a glimmer of light in what is otherwise a very, very dark and empty space.!!!

To be fair mate, Wales winning rugby matches is unsettling and unusual. If cats start talking to people and Britney Spears learns how to sing then I'm off to the local church to find redemption before the whole place goes kaput.

Agree about the Welsh line up. It looks awesome but I would prefer to be the underdogs at Twickenham. too many people making us favourites is unsettling and unusual

I thought I'd share the insights of one of our fellow-posters, as I was so impressed by his sportsmanship and insight into all things rugby on another thread:
"chocol8thunda says... LOSERS!!!!!!!!!"
How delightful. Such insight and depth of knowledge, posted on an article about England. Despite the fact that he may be making a correct prediction, save the gloating until the final score is confirmed, otherwise eggs and faces may be a nice combination...
Opinions are one thing, chocol8thunda, but is that really necessary? Let's try to grow up, enjoy the rivalry and, most importantly, enjoy what should be a cracking test match.

What insight!
Why don't you do all the posting and let the rest of us stay in bed!
Wales won both games, that were competitive to the end, thye played what was in front of them.
England have had two away wins.
Give both teams credit where it is due.
It is due.

Wales by 21 points I'd say, they will be far too powerful for England

JeanLuc,
Yes, its a long six nations - and France have only beaten Italy so far !!! - best to wait a few games before you slag off the performances of other nations - non?.

Would love England to win but I really don't see that happening. England should do better than they have in their previous games but it Wales are a similar team further on in the rebuilding process, a loss for them will be a huge set back. Although they are away and it might be tricky, it should be simpler than the Ireland game and it is most definitely Wales' game to lose!
Hopefully it is warm and dry...

Wales are going to be weak at 2 and 5.
2 I am not sure of myself, agreed.
But 5?
Evans and Jones (Alun-Wyn) are a club pairing, will go well. Don't write themoff.
I am sure gatland has prepared them well.
Rollon saturday!
Be in the nelson before the game.

C'mon Wales!
But I don't quite like the favorite tag. Never mind the past few games England are going to be hard to beat at home. The excitement is building.

Should be a good game but Englands defence is tough. Really tough. And our forwards are strong and technically sound...however good the Wales backs are the game is won in the forwards and if we get someone hitting the breakdown with some agression we're going to be in for a good game. One point of note is that Wales are going to be weak at 2 and 5, that makes for a disastrous lineout. On the other hand England aren't 100% in the midfield yet and I really don't want to see Farrel against Roberts and North at 12, it'll be Ireland and Darcy all over again...

That is a scary looking Wales 22 lol well balanced and packed with class players .Im also not that fussed if England lose as long as its close and Wales really have to work for it .They are should be favorites by along way and i think most are thinking Wales by 10-12 points .Im hoping if Wales win its more like 3-5 points myself and also hoping that England surprise a few people and nick by the same margin lol a big ask maybe but sporting upsets do happen dont they lol. Anyway lets prey its a good match to watch and nail biting to the end

If you ignore Preistland I wander who has a higher combined weight out of the forwards and backs? Probably not much in it which is scary!
As good as Eng defence has been think that Wales have too much class all over the pitch and should beat us by about 10. Not to fussed about the result but just hope we play with more attacking intent than we have shown so far.
