Try-time: Luther Burrell

New-found England star Luther Burrell has paid tribute to the efforts of his forwards ahead of Saturday's Six Nations finale.

Burrell, who scored in the wins over Wales and Scotland, has transferred his fine form with Northampton Saints to the international stage.

And the centre is keen to pass credit to the men grafting up front.

"I can't take the credit, really. The boys in the pack have been magnificent in creating decent ball for the backs," Burrell told Metro.

"It's been a huge team effort but the pack have been awesome."

The 26-year-old also hailed the creativity of midfield partner Billy Twelvetrees, who is beginning to find his feet at Test level.

Twelvetrees stabbed through a deft grubber-kick for Burrell's try at Twickenham on Sunday.

"Billy has an excellent skill-set and I'm enjoying playing alongside him," added Burrell added.

"You saw that with the try he set up for me against Wales with his little kick-through.

"It's been incredible to play against some top centres. The previous week it was Brian O'Driscoll, against Wales it was two other Lions Test centres in Jamie Roberts and Jonathan Davies.

"I just tried to play my own game but also to learn from them."
