Very well said both of you,i to would have prefered the SA Barbarains to have been made up of S15 players rather than Currie cup,lets face it England in the midwek games where in a no win situation really .If they lost disater and if they didnt put 100+ points on them people saying not a good showing ect..

As to Jonsey2 ,i have to admit ,he got under my skin once aswell,now i just laugh at his posts.Come the RC later this year ,his in for a big shock i feel.Both the ABs and SA have played outstanding rugby so far this summer,and overall look alot better than Australia even with the return of QC,KB andJOC.The Saffas will just run over them .and after the refering debarcle in the RWC .Pocock wont be allowed to get away with much.While if the ABs play anything like they did in the 1st test against Ireland,well no one can live with them in that form,Australia are looking at 3rd at best in the RC,and i feel a full strength Argentina will push them hard for that .Disagree all you like Jonsey2 ,but atm thats the cold hard truth.

@rugby_rockstar - lay off the drugs, they're really not doing you any favours. As for insulting season ticket holders, you're exactly the sort of fickle and vacuous twerp that English rugby doesn't need; standing by your team through thick and thin is what all sports are about. Yes, sometimes what we get to watch is utter tripe (a bit like your post), but we bellyache down the pub to our mates and turn up for the next game to SUPPORT our teams. I'm sure I recall you being a Harlequins fan...figures. You're the rugby equivalent of Manchester United fans; prawn sandwich-eating, middle-class morons.

@jonesy2 ok so by your figuring unless a team wins all it's games it doesn't learn, when surely by that model of learning they would never lose and would hence never need to learn to improve...teams do learn by losing...just look at SA, England and Nz in the pro era...all these teams learnt by losing before going on to win the world cup England to France and Ireland in the 6 nations, SA to Australia, Nz and England and Nz to France in 2009 and the Wallabies in 2010/11.

Agree treating the EPS and Saxons more as Club England is much better than having 2 separate tours

Disagree that midweek sides playing Barbarian teams drawn from outside of the local franchise first teams is better than a full blooded match against a nother nations A side.

Personally, I would like to have seen the midweek side play the Bulls or the Sharks so that, at the very least, they get game time against an organised opposition. Even if the opposition may be shorn of its test players

The springboks are one of the best teams on the planet today and NZ will have their work cut out taking them on in SA. BUT! our aggression and defense are a joke.

It wouldn't surprise me if england signed off the tour with a brave effort, but they do that at the end of most competitions / tours but the rubbish they've served up prior to that means the horse has escaped long before the door is bolted. A backlash on saturday won't impress me in the slightest because they NEVER build on it. come november it'll be the same old drivel.

You can also bet your life that the goldfish brigade will be harping on about scoring tries and playing wallabie rugby come november and the achillies heel of england rugby - the physicality - will be forgotten about in preference to mooning over how quick Jonny May is or how good ashton's try was from November 2010!!!

There is no intelligence surrounding english rugby, its like being forced to watch an episode of the Bratz cartoon full of shallow sparkly vacuous bubbles the go pop as soon as a SA, NZ or Irish backrower runs through them. Pathetic. And it won't get any better until the quality of the Aviva Premiereship is raised by about 300% its that rubbish. Just look at the european cup and sheild results to see how god awful english rugby is right now. emhlish fans who buy season tickets are the biggest mugs alive. and nothing will chance if you lot keep paying these jokers to churn out glorifiled rugby cow pats. Cheers for the money you dumb saps!

if i was an england supporter i would be so upset at these attitudes. no great sporting teams should do this so even if england become decent in a given length of time for a given period of time they still wont be a great rugby team

There speaks a coach who knows what his doing imo,finding and moulding players is a big part of a national coaches job.The fringe players will have gotten alot out of it as well .Knowing what the coaches are looking for ,and how they personnally can become better, and fit into the style the coaches want to employ
