Scrum half is a specialist position. Although he played there previously, he was never going to make it as an international 9, hence why he concentrated on full back. As Shane Williams has shown, in a pinch, he could cover the position but it's not someting you should have as higher than 3rd option.
You're better off with a scrum half on the bench who can cover wing or full back, such as Simpson, Pienaar or Hougaard.
I certainly wouldn't feel entirely comfortable going back to scrum half, having played many years in a different position, although I have done in emergencies.

@APV1 not too bad, he's covered for youngs a couple of times. I like the idea of subbing off a winger if they aren't going so well and moving Foden to the wing and brown to 15.

Glad he's available (and not seriously hurt!), although he didn't really have enough game time to show what he's got. I still think it's Morgan's berth to lose at the moment, but the more options available, the better.
Anyone else remember that Foden can play 9? How would he be moving to 9 if Dickson need to come off, with Brown to 15..?

Sharples defence was really poor though. Strettle did nothing wrong in his appearances, so I'd expect to see him given his starting place back.
I wholeheartedly agree about not bringing Youngs on. But, I don't understand the logic in making changesa just to use all your subs. Forwards I can understand as they tire, but backs don't (on the whole). Only change them if there is an injury or if it is a tactical change.

"Cheers Crofty" he must be saying. I'd imagine the team will be kept the same for the final match, Morgan was superb, Youngs still looks like he was going to nod off at a ruck, wouldn't bring him on if its close like it was against the French. Would really like to see Brown come on in some capacity, maybe at halftime at 15 and move Foden to the wing and take Ashton off.
