Just like Shaun Edwards - another guy who would be a terrible coach! Please pick him! Please please please! Him or Edwards!
Keep England down in the dumps for a few more seasons!
Ireland might pick up a slam or two...

As far as experience goes, Johnno has just learnt a whole bucket load of lessons, I'd like to see him given at least one more season to put what he's learnt into practise. Also can we please acknowledge that the players are at least 80% responsible for the balls up in NZ. Its like the Lions in 2005, you could go back to 1970 in a time machine and brought back carwin james and that England team would have still blown it, its not all down to Martin Johnson, not by a long shot.

Mallinder would be and will be perfect for England, he's worked wonders with the saints and I'd like eventually to see him steering England but I think Jim still needs to win major silverware with the saints before he becomes England coach...

i don't care who gets the job anymore as long as jonno goes, he's had a good crack and come up short, total lack of pragmatism and unable to make the tough decisions when it counted. The players loved him and called him jonno, yep they did love him but all the antics proved they didn't respect him, haskell grow up, wood for captain and since a big bullocking centre works for wales at inside, (the game is all about mommentum and crossing the gain line as defenses have become more organised) manu tuilagi at inside and yes i'm going to be controversial, I want Delon Armitage to play at outside centre for England, i'd also like to see Ben Foden at scrummie but surely that's just a little to crazy?

Personally I think Johnno should be given at least another season, but I'd have to say the Mallender's name would be at the top of my list if Johnno called it a day. Northampton play the best style of rugby in the premiereship, proper 15 man rugby with forwards and backs doing their bread and butter, if they had a decent 10 then they'd be champion material. Mallender as Johnno's sucessor (whenever that may be) is a no brainer.

Bit short of news this week. Why not get a reporter to ask Jim Mallinder if he would be interested in going for the England job if it came up. response from Jim, of course I would, It';s only natural. Next minute headlines. Give us a break, thats not news it just takes up space in newspapers blogs and the media. Why don't they ask Stuart Barnes as well after all he knows more about English rugby than anyone else. My Auntie Bettie said she quite fancied the job too. There again she might be succesful, she cooks a great steak and kidney pie and her sons rugby shirts are cleaner than anybody elses.
