It isnt as if this is a new problem for RD ,the ozzie teams have been below par comparded to most of the other S15 teams for quite a few years now .Also international matches are as has been said very different in alot of ways ,and clubs form is no indicator of performance when it comes to international matches .Just take the recent 6Ns where Wales did a slam and England came 2nd yet nither nation did well in the Heieken Cup ,while France have had a great HC yet where below par as where Ireland who have also had a good HC

Super rugby has little or no bearing on the SH test sides capability. Back in early 2000's the NZ sides got 3 teams in the semi-finals and got last in the Tri Nations.

There are only 15 players on the field in rugby and Aussie can put a very good 15 on the paddock with 7 very good reserves, so they wont be weakened by S15 form. Plus they have the measure of Wales in the past few seasons which will be playing on the welsh players minds despite the bravado from their players

To be fair to Deans, Super Rugby form never translates into international form. Different teams, coaches, structures, pride, pressures, intensity... You name it.

Well he would say that, wouldn't he... another of @ sandal's "mixed years" ahead, methinks, on which subject: henceforth I shall deem any year in which the AB lose to Samoa AND Ireland "mixed" - a description I suspect many of my fellow kiwis may find difficult to grasp :-)

Well he's probably used to it by now, and anyway who needs a forward pack when you've got Bryce Lawence reffing aussie matches.
