Trinats, no animosity in that comment, only a Kiwis desire to take the p out of one of his neighbours

Any one for a large slice of Irony?
We get to hear from Trinats and co on this site how the Abs are chokers and will not win a RWC and that the games in between mean nothing and count for little....
If the 3N is crap and means little Trinats, why do you not change your name to something Aus are capeable of winning more than 13 percent of the time, thats right superstars 13 percent, as apposed to the team you call chokers who win it 66 percent of the time

Triants - why are you gloating over something that hasn't happend yet? And given the fact you won't even get past England in the semi's, why are you gloating at all?
Perhaps just go back to thinking up feeble excuses why you guys keep losing - you seem to have a real skill for it.

alandownunder Why on earth would we entertain the idea of even wanting Quade Cooper?
And would the Franks brothers be as good if they had not been through the rugby system in NZ or would they be typically crap Aussie props?

Here's a legit Wallaby line-up you can take to the bank: 15) Beale, 14) O'Connor, 13) Mortlock, 12) Giteau, 11) Mitchell, 10) Cooper, 9) Genia, 8) Hoiles, 7) Pocock, 6) Elsom*C, 5) Vickerman, 4) Horwill, 3) Alexander, 2) Moore, 1) Robinson. Reserves: 16) Polata-Nau, 17) Slipper, 18) Sharpe, 19) Higginbotham, 20) Burgess, 21) Barnes, 22) Ioane.

@trinats
For what it's worth, Andrew Mehrten's parents are kiwis who lived in SA for 4 yrs. His father and grandfather played for Canterbury, and his grandfather was an All Black. Owen Franks was born in Motueka, NZ. His family moved to NZ for a better lifestyle and the absence of self-absorbed, nationalistic, arrogant tossers. By the way, Australia has been importing foreign-born tennis players, soccer players, rugby players and other athletes for decades.
Gee it must get up your nose that some poxy islands of the coast with a fraction of Australia's population and GDP reliably beat your treasured Wallabies (and sometimes the Kangaroos. Let's pray those damn Kiwis don't learn Aussie Rules or you'll need a microscope to find your manhood).
Have a nice summer.

Christ on a bike Triant but that's beyond laughable, even the British press have given up spouting that fallacy. If you're going to nick stupid conspiracy theories from some one else at least try and keep up.
Auckland is now, by far, the largest Polynesian center in the world so it would be a bit of waste of cash sending "scouts" to the Islands now wouldn't it?
13 of the, current, Samoa squad were born in NZ.
So how about you go back to the drawing board to try to cook up some other, ridiculous, conspiracy theory to make your self feel better about constantly losing.

Ok you Kiwis, we'll swap you the NZ born Cooper and O'Connor for the Aus born Franks brothers. Should balance us out nicely.

Take on them up front and make them tackle (attempt to in Quades case) then it's all over rover.

Their back-line is set and the envy of many rugby nations. A bit more grit is needed in the pack and I think once Robbie Deans realizes that Faainga is not a test match quality hooker and when Horwill and Vickerman return the pack will be top notch. They have solid propping options, a great captain in Elsom. a world class openside in Pocock. Genia is clearly first choice. They just have to figure out who their best #10 is. And hope that Palu stays injured. You'd hate to bet against them if they faced SA or NZ in the semis or finals of RWC 2011.

Agree with all of your article. In addition if australia are going to be serious contenders at RWC they need to find a really consistent kicker - historry shows that World cup games are won on the tightest margins, a form kicker is a must. They are still leaking too many tries - again sucessful world cup teams win games on strong defence, taking their kicks and then attacking...Wallabies (although I am a loyal fan and truly admire the current attacking mentality) are perhaps placing too much emphasis on their expansive attack. They are, however in a much better place than the start of the season and Kurtly Beale has been a revalation - after a ponderous S14 he has emerged as an outstanding player who has discovered lightning pace and a real rugby brain. Reckon Barnes should retain the 12 jersey until Giteau's form recovers.

The Oz trination results seem to be a bit 'out-of-whack', especially the results they appeared to have had against the ABs!
