All Blacks flanker Jerome Kaino is out for around four to six weeks with an elbow injury, according to coach Steve Hansen.
Kaino started in Round One's Rugby Championship opener between New Zealand and Australia in Sydney last weekend.
The 31-year-old World Cup winner made his first appearances for the All Blacks against England back in June since the Rugby World Cup Final in 2011, after a good season in Super Rugby with the Blues.
Liam Messam has come back in at six in Kaino's absence to face the Wallabies in Round Two, with Steven Luatua and Sam Cane offering back-row cover amongst the replacements.
Kaino could miss all of New Zealand's remaining matches in the tournament, although he may be in contention for the final fixtures against Argentina and South Africa should he recover closer to four weeks than six.
