Bowing out: Andrew Hore

All Blacks hooker Andrew Hore is ready to start the next chapter of his life after representing New Zealand for the last time.

Hore started for the All Blacks in the 24-22 win over Ireland last Sunday, but has now hung up his boots as he looks towards a career as a farmer after not being offered a contract by any of the New Zealand Super Rugby franchises for next season.

The former Highlanders number two won 85 caps for New Zealand after making his debut in 2002.

"I don't think I'll be playing in the All Black jersey again," said Hore.

"I've had a good run. Hopefully I can get home and make a good fist of my next job which is going to be a farmer.

"I'll do that, hopefully if I do that as well as I've played rugby then I shouldn't be going too bad."

All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen must now search for a third hooker to add to the New Zealand squad following Hore's decision, with Keven Mealamu and Dane Coles the two current options available.
