The Spanish representation in this year's Amlin Challenge Cup is in doubt according to reports in the UK press.
The Olympus XV, comprised of the best players in the Spanish league, were due to take part in Pool 5 of this year's tournament alongside London Irish, Stade Franšais and Italian side I Cavalieri Prato.
The team, who are based in Madrid, will not be able to compete due to financial problems according to the Federacion Espanola de Rugby (FER).
ERC are now reportedly looking at ways to keep the club in the competition, but London Irish supporters have been advised by the club not to organise any bookings to visit the Spanish capital for the fixture.
"London Irish has been made aware of the situation regarding Olympus XV's position in the Amlin Challenge Cup," said London Irish statement.
"We are working with the tournament's rightsholder, ERC and will advise supporters on developments as soon as their position is clarified."
