Gloucester have secured the services of Jonny May after the utility back signed a new contract to remain at Kingsholm.
Capable of playing centre, wing or full-back, the 22-year-old enjoyed a real breakthrough campaign in 2011-12, when he started 22 matches and scored 10 tries.
May was duly noticed by the England selectors, as he was capped at Saxons level and then called up to link up with the England senior squad on their tour of South Africa.
Gloucester director of rugby Nigel Davies was delighted to secure May's services.
"I've spent a lot of time in recent weeks working on retaining a number of our key players, and I'm delighted to be able to confirm that Jonny has signed a new contract," he said.
"Jonny has so much talent. He's already achieved a lot with Gloucester Rugby, but he's got so much potential that I genuinely think that we've only just scratched the surface of what he can achieve.
"It's great news for the club that he's committed his future to us. He's spent his whole career at Gloucester, and is happy with the direction we're heading in.
"We want to keep this core group of players together as there's a bright future ahead."

Not sure why he is not playing for England already - special talent. A possible bolter for the Lions.

May has it all speed, jinks, side step, hand off and he can tackle as well. Once he gets his England chance expect him to stay a long time.

I agree with May, Burns, Twelvetrees but I'd add Sharples instead of Trinder. He's got excellent pace and already has experience of test match rugby so will always be there or there abouts. Burns is already in the mix and when he becomes more established it'll make it more likely that Twelvetrees will join him. May looks fantastic, great pace and handling plus the ability to play at fullback and wing which makes him a great bench impact player. When I've seen Trinder this season he's seemed off the pace, the moment when he got beaten by Daly that sticks in my mind the most.

Very wise move from both parties, May, Burns, Twelvetrees and Trinder, great prospects for international honours, I fear Sharples has had his chance but you never know, some people said the same about Brown, now he's flying!!!!!!!!
