All Blacks flanker Adam Thomson has received a one-week suspension for his reckless ruck on the head of the Scottish flanker Alasdair Strockosh.
The hearing took place in London on Wednesday.
He will miss this week's clash with Italy in Rome.
Thomson, who has yet to re-sign with the NZRU, could play his last game for the All Blacks against either Wales in Cardiff or England at Twickenham on November 24 or December 1 respectively.

was not malicious, it was nothing like a forearm smash to the face or an eye gouge/knee/headbutt etc which would have done way more serious damage than what adam did. yellow card was the right decision for the match, one week ban is the right decision for what he did.

Maybe because of his record and it did seem like he pulled back a bit when he realised what a stupid move it was. I saw him after the game when the players were shaking hands apologising to Alasdair Strockosh. Still i was expecting him to get a few weeks for it.

lol let the cries of protest ring forth from Europe. Honestly it was barely a tap before his foot was off. More careless than malicious.
Honestly it was about the only thing Thomson did on the field that day. It's no wonder he failed to claim Kaino's jersey this year.

One week just one week ,wrong signal to send imo,must have been a panal of SH bleeding hearts 4 weeks min it should have been.You just dont go anywhere near a players head with your boot .full stop.
