34-year-old hooker William Servat has been confirmed as French Barbarians captain for their meeting with Japan in Le Havre on Sunday, November 25.
Servat will come out of retirement for the second time this season for the game, it was announced.
The 49 times capped player, who was a member of the side that lost 8-7 to the All Blacks in last year's World Cup final, retired at the end of last season and bowed out on a high note as his club side Toulouse retained the Top 14 French title.
Servat, who is now the Toulouse forwards coach but came to the side's aid once this season when facing a real crisis with their hookers he played against Stade Francais, will be joined by another former international regular Yannick Jauzion.
The French Baa-baas, created in 1977, are made up of players from the French championship and place an emphasis on creative and flowing rugby.
