Alun-Wyn Jones: Will miss all Wales' remaining end-of-year Tests

Wales forwards Alun-Wyn Jones and Josh Turnbull have been ruled out of the remaining end-of-year Tests due to injuries.

Ospreys lock Jones (shoulder) and Scarlets flanker Turnbull (knee ligaments) will miss Friday's clash with Samoa, as well as matches against New Zealand and Australia.

The duo sustained the injuries during Wales' 26-12 loss to Argentina in Cardiff last weekend.

No timescale has been put on Jones' return but Turnbull is expected to be on the sidelines for four weeks.

Meanwhile, both flanker Ryan Jones and Ospreys' centre Ashley Beck have been fully re-integrated into training and should be available for selection for the Samoa Test.

Blues centre Jamie Roberts is continuing to be assessed for mild concussion and has a chance of facing Samoa.

There has been no change to the condition of Scarlets centre Jonathan Davies who is managing a groin problem and is currently unable to train fully with the squad.

No further call-ups have been made to the squad at this stage.

One final comment (read your comments) and then note that you were misreadmy original comments. I didn't say he failed to tackled someone on both occasions. Don't worry though, you can join the mistake club with old Mr Hook.

Just to add - 53:57 - look at the tackle by Hook. Then remember that a wing was running at the fullback flat out, while the fullback wasn't running. Sure you want to blame Halfpenny At 59:02 - look at Hook's failure to tackle. No try if he had! Case dismissed!

@GoWalesGo - what a rant lol. Thanks - I did watch, and watch again, and again, and I stand by my comments. So Im not changing my opinion based on factual observation.

I don't rate Hook, and that is based on the highest interception rate of any professional I know, the most missed tackles over a prolonged period (especially try saving ones) of anyone I know), the predictability of his play when he loses his calm, and his lack of game management (hence Biggar took over at the Ospreys). Not bad reasons I'd say, but you're entitled to your opinion and I'm please you won't bother to comment again.

What!?! Watch again, he makes the tackle but the player then offloads. It's then Halfpenny who misses the tackle which leads to the try, completely outpaced by Imhoff.

Grab the ball on the other? What the hell?

It wasn't Hook's or Halfpenny's fault for the second try. The whole backline was sucked in, if they were any wider the Argentinians would have just gone through them instead of around them.

Judging by your comment on the team announcement page "thank god no Hook" you don't really rate Hook, and from what i've experienced with other Hook "haters" is that there's no changing your mind so i'm not going to bother.

@GoWalesGo - so was Hook - Hook the only one at fault in both.

Halfpenny was at fault for the first try.

I agree with Melkdave other than Hook at 12. Hook again proved all at sea defensively for both tries. Just watch the complete failure to tackle on one occasion and the failure to grab the ball, on the other.

So thats further 3 players lost to injury ect ,as theres no way J.Roberts is going to be allowed to play.He was clearly concussed last weekend .So i expect A.Shingler to come into the team at 6 and L.Charteris to play lock, .I would also like to see D.Bigger at 10 and Hook at 12,and Tipric at 7 .and R.Hibbard starting at 2 .But i dought i will tbh.
