John Mitchell: Could return to his former club
Suspended Lions boss John Mitchell has been linked with a return to his former club Sale Sharks.
Sale are currently at bottom of the Premiership table after suffering six successive defeats and according to the Sunday Times Mitchell will be brought in to help turn things around.
Mitchell played for the Sharks and was their director of rugby before joining Clive Woodward's England coaching team. He also coached the All Blacks from 2001 to 2003 and the Perth-based Western Force from 2005 to 2010.
It is believed that he will initially serve as a consultant at Sale with the likelihood to replace forwards coach Steve Scott, who was sacked by the club last month.
The Sunday Times quoted 'one of Sale's international contingent' as saying: "We've heard about John's approach, now we'll have to see for ourselves."
Mitchell is currently involved in legal action against his current employers the Golden Lions in Johannesburg, having been suspended three months ago amid allegations from players that his regime was too harsh.

I'd love to see Mitch back in England but I think there are one or two players at Sale believing their own hype right now who'd be much less pleased to see him!
