No du Preez? What a welcome surprise.
But no De Jongh yet theres Engelbrecht
no Brussow yet theres Benchkowski
no Kolisi yet theres Potgeyser
no Macleod yet theres Vermaak
no Aplon yet theres Kirshner
i guess this means any player good enough for the Bulls' bench is good enough for the boks.
Man i dont think ive ever been this disapointed after seeing a bok squad announcement...This is the very reason coloureds like myself support the AllBlacks

As a New Zealander I'm not sure why Gio Aplon can't make it into the wider team, he makes so many breaks in S15! On the plus outside of Goosen who is injured I feel Jantjies is the next best running flyhalf in SA, interesting to see how he goes outside a strong pack. If he was picked in one of the tests (I know it won't happen) who would be best at 12 to pair with him?

NO BRUSSOW ???? And I thought pdivvy was an idiot...And even Kolisi was brillant...I don`t want to see him in a up coming boks squad...He showed more talent than Willem, Marcell, Ryan and Spies...The best two loose forward were excluded from the squad...WHY??

No Brussow is surprising after a very good world cup...as is the lack of peterson (the blonde fullback I don't know how to spell his name)

Go Blouboks I suppose. No Aplon, de Jongh, Kolisi. The politicians will undoubtedly have something to say about this mess. I really, really believed that Wynand Olivier would never play test rugby again, quite shocked.
Kankowski off the Sharks bench. Vermaak of the Bulls bench (whatever happened to the whole Fourie du Preez thing?). 14 Bulls, 9 Sharks, 3 Stormers, 2 Lions, 2 Cheetahs, 2 Overseas.
Stormers SA log position - 1 Overall - 2
Bulls SA log - 2 Overall - 5
Sharks SA log - 3 Overall - 7
Just to rub it in, a depleted Stormers team just beat the Bulls. Go figure.

With so many injuries to stormers and others it was always going to be a squad that wasn't,t going to please all. Aplon a huge surprise and brussow has been out of sorts so expected for these 3 test. But sur he will be back at some point soon.
Give HM time it's not just about now it's got to be a 3 year plan and unfortunately some things won't work but has to try out at some point. Good luck bokke

You can't have neither Brussow nor Kolisi but it's nice to see Keegan Daniel rewarded for his efforts over the past years, I reckon he will fair very well but I'd still have him behind those two. Surprised no Greyling considering he's a Bull in good form unless he's injured. How Spies is managing to pull the wool over everyone's eyes still is beyond me, he's the very definition of a flat track bully.

Heyneke Meyer just cost us the first test with all these Bulls Barbies in the team.

I think this series will go 2-1 to the Bokke. The Bokke to win the first two games and then to experiment in the third game. The Bok 1 to 3 should be set in stone. The lose of Bekker will leave the no 5 spot open, 6 and 7 are open for debate too 8 for the Spies.
In the half backs i think Hougie and Morné have it wrapped up but if Goosen was fit i think he would be in the mix.
I think Frans Steyn and De Villars 12 and 13, Habana 14. 11 is very much open too with Jp or Mvovo Basson all in good form 11. Lambie to take 15.
Kom on Die Bokke xxx

All Bulls/Sharks.....guess the stormers who top the s.a conference are only good enough for super rugby??? rediculous

Pierre Spies and Wynand Olivier add a nice feminine touch to this Bok team. Kanlowski, Janjes and Kirchener obviously there to peel oranges and carry tackle bags. Pathetic squad. I miss PDivvy already

Hmmmmmm, not convinced. Engelbrecht, Jantjies, Olivier, Pietersen and Franco v/d Merwe can count themselves lucky to be selected. Glaring omission is Heinrich Brussow.
