I cannot disagree with any of you about the centre options. Flood's comments are quite revealing, a bit to much I and not team for me.
I don't think his cause was helped by that idiot member of the Leicester coaching staff who basically told SL he'd selected the wrong 9/10....a good 6 nations put paid to that.
I'm not a great fan of Flood but he is close to becoming a bit of a ghost with all the good young 10's coming through.

Totally agree with you both on 12/3s. Flood talks a lot about personal ambition, but not about the team. Hope he will be doing what it takes mid week, on bench or wherever he can for England test wins as his top goal. Where he ends up is not the key issue. Re playing him at 12... Hes not played there for a while. I'd rather see that experiment at Leicester or v Italy. Got to stick with Barritt or Tuilagi for tests I think, but also think Lancaster may well try him at 12. 12trees may well fly out as injury sub if we're starting with two of three tens each game.

@ Centre12 - Hear! Hear! I see him "riding pine" with Farrell starting at 10. I think Hodgson at 10 and Farrell at 12 isn't as good a combo as Farrell at 10, with Barritt and Tuilagi in the centres.
No they're not the most "dynamic" centres, but I think we'll benefit from their defensive abilities and solid runs.
I'd also liked to have seen 12Trees on tour. I think he offers more to the future than Hodgson and should start in the midweek games.

The key word here is "earn" his place back. One of the things that I admire about Lancaster is that he picks players on form, he'll give blokes the benefit of the doubt for 2-3 games, but if they are still under preforming, someone else gets a chance ie, Farrell in for Hodgson and Wade in for Strettle.
The only selection I have with the whole squad is the inclusion of Hodgson over the exclusion of Twelvetrees, an issue that many England supporters probably have. I can understand to a degree though as this is still a largely inexperienced squad and he needs as much experience in key areas as possible, that being said I'd imagine, CH is 3rd choice now with Flood back in contention, Farrell is still the man for me though.
