@borig mate you make a good point regarding Ali, with his experience he should command a lot more leadership and respect. They say pride comes before the fall and he is exceptionally arrogant which may be the reason why his "team" mates don't respect him.

I should have known this. I had to get rid of one of my best performing consultants (in fact he is one of the greatest intellects I have ever encountered) because none of the others would engage with him.

I've heard it said, the major contributing obstacle in making salient employment decisions is because we employ and fire on complete opposite ends of the spectrum. "We hire on skill and fire on attitude, skills are mainly taught".

Pat Lam needs to answer the question as to why the Bloos are tactically incompetent. Kick offs is an area of the game where the Bloos have been caught out time and again this year. The inability to take the kicks and the positioning of the players directly led to the tries. Ok but this also happened in previous games. The Reds did their homework and had two tries early because they had spotted this weakness from the videos of previous games. So how come that has not yet been rectified. Pat Lams says those two early tries were so important so why Pat haven't you, your coaching staff and the team sorted it out? The Reds were there for the taking but it needs some competence to do it and at the moment the Bloos don't look remotely competent.

Errr..Pat, here I was thinking that the coach provided the game plan...

From rounds 1-9 there doesn't appear to have been one asides from shoveling the ball side to side.

Well isnt tatics down to the mangement ?? or dosent P.Lam tell his players how he would like them to play in matches .Every team has its weaknesses ect .Some are very good counter-attacking so you shouldnt kick deep ,some are good at the breakdown so you kick .After all isnt that what mangement are for to advise and instruct a team on the opposistions weaknesses and the best way to exploit them

Sack this man now, before the blues lose whatever fans they have left and the boys play in front of an empty stadium!

Sack Dalton too, before this turns into a huge commercial failure/loss which will take years to recover from, and the continuing sad fact for NZ's largest city that Rugby is dying or dead at club, ITM cup and Super levels.

Auckland has some of the strongest college rugby teams in NZ, Ponsonby is one of the great clubs in NZ and when the ABs play Eden Park is full house, so what is going on??

Pat, you're a joke to be blaming the players, what have you been doing since xmas?? Some of the errors in your team was simple ball skill and retention stuff..what do you do at trainings??

I'd leave Weepu on the field until he finds confidence and form because obviously leaving him on the bench is doing wonders. He is a far superior footballer than Matthewson, period. Also I'd bring in Hobbs at First 5, the young kid Anscombe is too young for this standard of football and he isnt no Grant Fox yet. Put Ranger on the wing, Stanley starts with Wulf at Fullback. Dont bring Nonu off!!!

As for the blues forwards, too much side stepping and trying to be flash and not enough grunt and power. Other than the Braids, Woodcock, Faumuina and the young hooker, the rest (including reserves) dont know what being a forward really is, its about going forward anyway you can and providing the ball on a plate for your backs!

I'd stop watching your own match tapes and watch the other NZ teams' tapes for tips and pointers in playing rugby at Super level!

Whether bucketing down or not, playing in one's own half is always risky. That's why territory plays a major role in statistics.

Capitalising on opposition errors is a fundamental in the game and should come as no surprise. Have a look at the top teams especially the Chiefs, Stormers and Saders, they are masters of creating opportunities by forcing opposition errors.

The bloke I feel for is Ali Williams he seems to perform week in and week out but doesn't get the support he needs.

Any just my 2c worth. No wonder I've got no change with 5c denominations in Australia, maybe I should be coach the Bloos lol.
