It's not just England touring like this Ireland are as well. Love this, the last tour I remember like this was England to South Africa in 1994. I was just getting heavily into rugby then and I remember seeing England getting beat by the provincial sides then shocking south africa in the first test, with Tim Rodber playing a blinder... Of Course the Saffa's got their own back and their was that infamous midweek game between the tests where Rodber got sent off but that tour was the first time we saw Laurence Dallaligo in an England shirt so it must have done some good!!!

Can't wait for this, it should be a cracker of a test series especially with it being in the bokke backyard and with England looking to build on a promising 6 nations and with so much competition in so many positions it will give England chance to weed out the week players and make their strongest team, not to mention put together all of their long term playing combinations like in the centres, the halfbacks and the back row. It'll be a great test for the pack who dominated most oppositions in the 6 nations and it'll give a chance for the backs/attack coach (whoever that will be) to be integrated. Last of all the midweek games will give some top quality players chance to get back into the England Jersey after a bit of a break (like Haskell if he's selected, Wood, Care, Flood...maybe even Cipriani)

This makes total sense and it's good to see a return to proper touring and will give both sides an opportunity to blood new players at international level. Far too often of late tours have passed through with reasonable sized squads for a test series not giving potential new players the opportunity to show what they can do Both squads are now looking forward to developing squads for the next world cup and certainly England have a long way to go. But South Africa will have to find a new skipper, Matfield is no longer there and a number of others will be discarded due to age and lack of form, so this will be fun. The boks on their own patch are always a great test and we know from the last England defeat at Twickenham in 2011 that when we tried to compete physically we were blown away, so bring it on at lets see what we have on both sides.

sweet!!! i think wev(england) will lose, but it'll be good development and it's better when there's 3 tests....both countries will get behind their teams ....it'll be like a mini Lions tour! Smash the bokkes!

Hats of to England for coming out for 3 tests. Tours are all too infrequent in the modern rugby setup and this is going to be a cracker of a series. I predict plenty of `needle' from both sides.
