Sorry could you explain why this is "bad". The Pacific Islands is not a coutnry and the playing for them did not threaten their involvement with NZ. They knew this when they elected to play. An example of another clueless comment from someone

A bit off topic but how can he still be eligible for so many teams having represented the Maori. Granted it's not as bad as Luakai and Sivivatu (both probably spelt wrong, apologies!) playing for the Pacific Islanders and then the All Blacks.
How can representing a country at 7's, which precludes a player from representing any other country as it is apparently a pseudo cap, be more tangible than playing at 'A' or equivalent levels? The IRB need to sort this out.

technically he could have played for NZ, tonga , fiji or tonga and now wales. and i think he has played for the maori.
