Kurtley Beale will not take part in the Rebels' final match of the season, instead remaining in Sydney to continue his rehabilitation.
The utility-back turned out for Australia during the recent series against the Lions, but with international duty over and the Rebels playing for nothing but pride against the Highlanders, it has been decided that a return to his treatment program is the best thing for Beale.
"The focus and priority at the Rebels has always been Kurtley's welfare," said Rebels CEO Rob Clarke.
"All parties agree that it is in Kurtley's best interests for that to continue.
"The decision not to select Kurtley in the Rebels' final match will allow him to complete the next phase of his program."
