Springbok RWC-winning captain John Smit is named on the replacements bench for Saracens and is likely to make his debut against Treviso.

In other news, Rhys Gill, Matt Stevens, Hayden Smith, Andy Saull and James Short all return to the starting line-up, announced by the club.

Jacques Burger misses this weekend after a bang on the knee which means Justin Melck comes onto the replacements bench.

"Treviso have enjoyed a very good start to the season and enjoyed a run of four successive wins in the RaboDirect Pro 12," said Director of Rugby Mark McCall on Saracens' official website.

"Their position in the league will give them a lot of belief coming to London and they have a strong international contingent in their squad - so we have worked hard in making sure we are well prepared going into the match.

"The Heineken Cup is a magnificent competition and one in which we want to do well. History tells us the more experienced teams tend to be the most successful in this competition and it is our aim to be competing with the likes of Leinster, Toulouse and Munster to be the best in Europe."

Meanwhile, Treviso have recalled Willem de Waal and Fabio Semenzato to their starting half-back positions for this Sunday's Heineken Cup clash at Vicarage Road in Watford.

Treviso are performing admirably in the PRO12 this year, winning four games from eight.
