Good win for England. They looked like a team that has played together for years despite their inexperience! They just seem so much more composed and fully rounded than previous years. In saying that it was boring to watch.... I also found the Haskell yellow card very unfair.

Honestly cant complain england were just better... the ref was decent for a change.. the weather and injuries didnt help but thats no excuse england adapted better they deserved the victory

As a ireland fan il like to say well done england played better more intelligent rugby than ireland fully deserved the victory.

Deserved win for England - and a real throwback - probably highly entertaining for the diehards.

However, i am now more convinced than ever that we need to change rugby to either a split season or a summer game. It is a professional sport, and the only hope for growth of the game (which I would love to see) is to change the season. Of course that doesnt mean that there won't still be wet weather games, but playing on saturated pitches is just not providing a spectacle for potential newcomers to the sport - no doubt many will disagree, but I think change is both highly desirable and inevitable.

Poor game but absorbing. Ireland bottled it, England deserved it. Still don't think there will be a grand slam this season.
