Daniel Adongo: Delighted to play Super Rugby
Kenyan forward Daniel Adongo has joined the Southern Kings for the duration of the Super Rugby season.
Adongo helped Counties Manakau secure promotion to the ITM Cup Premiership after beating Otago in the Championship final. He joined Tana Umaga's team after stints at the Sharks and Bulls.
According to Die Burger's website, Adongo - who can play on the flank or at lock - is currently contracted to the Potchesftroom-based Leopards, and will be on loan at the Kings for their Super Rugby campaign.
His Leopards team-mate, hooker Edgar Marutlulle, has also been loaned to the Port Elizabeth-based franchise for the competition.
Adongo told Kenya's Daily Nation website he is eager to finally make his Super Rugby debut.
"I am so delighted that I should realise my dream of playing in Super Rugby after only having played for Blue Bulls in build up towards the 2012 Super Rugby," he said.
He also enjoyed his stint in New Zealand.
"My first season with the Counties has been superb and eventful, having been part of the team that won the Championship," added Adongo.
He is due to arrive in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday.

This guy is immense and has been treated terribly by the Bulls, he's bloody huge and quick and deserves a starting slot.
