A superb goal-kicking display from veteran fly-half Jonny Wilkinson guided Toulon to a 46-13 victory over Perpignan on Sunday.
Wilkinson's haul of 26 points helped restore Toulon's seven-point lead at the top of the Top 14 table.
Earlier, second-placed Clermont thrashed Bayonne 48-3 to consolidate their position in the standings.
In another early match Racing Metro eased their troubles with a 40-6 win over Agen.
Bottom team Mont-de-Marsan were edged 19-18 at home by Biarritz, while Grenoble defeated Bordeaux 19-9,Toulose beat Castres 18-16 and Montpellier secured a deserved 54-16 victory against Stade Francais.

Jonny Wilkinson's six penalties and four conversions paved the way to a superb victory for Bernard Laporte's charges.
Toulon's other points were scored by David Smith and Pierrick Gunther who both crossed the whitewash on two occasions.
Joffrey Michel scored Perpignan's only try in the third minute of the match.
James Hook slotted a conversion and the visitors' only other points came via two penalties by David Mele.

Clermont issued a warning to their Top 14 rivals with a clinical display against their hapless opponents - running in six tries.
Wesley Fofana and Napolioni Nalaga led the way with a brace of five-pointers each and there were further touchdowns by Jean-Marcellin Buttin and Benson Stanley.
France international scrum-half Parra was flawless with the boot, kicking all the penalties and conversions that came his way with Brock James and David Skrela stepping in when he went off. Benjamin Boyet added a three-pointer from the kicking tee for Bayonne.

Racing had too much firepower for Agen and raced into an early 20-6 lead at half-time.
Flanker Camille Gérondeau led the way for the Parisian outfit, crossing over for two tries. Their other five-pointers came from a penalty try and Argentine wing Juan Imhoff also touched down.
The rest of their points came via accurate goal-kicking from Maxime Machenaud, who added 18 points. Agen's only points came through two penalties from Conrad Barnard.

As the scoreline suggests, Biarritz were made to fight before they secured victory against their hosts.
Biarritz opened the scoring inside the opening five minutes when they were awarded a penalty try after Imanol Harinordoquy was held back without the ball close to the try-line.
Biarritz's other pooints came through a conversion and four penalties from veteran scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili. Thibault Duvallet scored all Mont de Marsan's points via six penalties.

18 points from the boot of Lionel Beauxis guided Toulouse to a narrow victory over their hosts.
Beauxis' six penalties proved enough but the visitors were made to sweat, especially during the closing stages.

Montpellier claimed a convincing win which keeps their play-off hopes alive.
The home side ran in six tries with Francois Trinh-Duc, Timoci Nagusa, Julien Tomas, Maximiliano Bustos, Thomas Combezou and Kelian Galletier all getting their name onto the scoresheet.
For Stade, Olivier Missoup scored a try and Jerome Porical slotted a conversion and three penalties.
