Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino: Starts at full-back

Argentina coach Santiago Phelan has made three changes to his starting XV for Saturday's clash with France in Lille.

At full-back, regular fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez who injured himself in los Pumas' 26-12 win over Wales at the Millennium Stadium last weekend is replaced by Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino.

In other changes, Biarritz centre Marcelo Bosch fills the void left by the sidelined Felipe Contepomi, who suffered knee ligament damage in Cardiff, while Bath wing Horacio Agulla also earns a starting place as he takes over from Gonzalo Camacho.

Argentina: 15 Lucas Gonzalez Amorosino, 14 Horacio Agulla, 13 Gonzalo Tiesi, 12 Marcelo Bosch, 11 Juan Imhoff, 10 Nicolas Sanchez, 9 Martin Landajo, 8 Leonardo Senatore, 7 Juan Manuel Leguizamon, 6 Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe, 5 Julio Farias Cabello, 4 Manuel Carizza, 3 Juan Figallo, 2 Eusebio Guinazu, 1 Marcos Ayerza.
Replacements: 16 Agustin Creevy, 17 Nahuel Lobo, 18 Francisco Gomez Kodela, 19 Tomas Vallejos, 20 Tomas De la Vega, 21 Tomas Cubelli, 22 Gonzalo Camacho, 23 Joaquin Tuculet.

Date: Saturday, 17 November
Venue: Stade Lille Metropole
Kick-off: 21:00 local (20:00 GMT)
Referee: Steve Walsh (Australia)
Assistant referees: Jaco Peyper (South Africa), David Changleng (Scotland)
Television match official: Carlo Damasco (Italy)

Looking forward to this one. Argentina will believe that they can beat France so it should be quite game.

Anyway, Argentina has many young and very hungry players who are waiting for the opportunity to try themselves at international level. I am looking forward to see Manuel "La Pantera" ("The Panther") Montero play again against a top team. He is a very young (19y), very strong, big (1.93m) and fast winger. He scored the final try against France in June (Arg 23 - 20 Fra) to secure a victory.

It's a pity Juan Martin Hernandez is so prone to get injured. He rarely has enough continuity to develop his game to the level he is capable of playing.

The that truly surprised me was Gonzalo Tiesi, who injured himself very badly during the first match of the RWC 2011 against England. After that, he had to go back to Argentina to recover and played for an amateur team until now. He displayed great condition, power and skill against Wales!

hernandez hasnt played well in a long time... and there are many able back three who can play... agulla amorosino tuculet imhoff camacho... and sanchez already took the 10 shirt... bye bye hernandez, go out with grace and dont extend your stay on reputation only

Even as a one-eyed Bath fan, I can't understand the justification of Agulla over Comacho. Perhaps he is match-tired and will provide more impact from the bench. But if you give France a sniff of a win, then you're suddenly chasing the game.

This is going to be an exciting game. Both teams will have their tails up after good wins. Argentina are somewhat of a bogey team for France...I think the Pumas will edge this one.

Maybe Phelan wants to send Camacho when les bleuz get tired, but at the same time he's wasting the momentum of the exeter's winger, i would like to see again Imhoff-Camacho-Tuculet with Tiesi and Agulla at center like in the last game. i can't see a clear winner between los Pumas and France, good luck to both of them. ps, excuse my english.

Have to say a bit disappointed Hemandez isnt at FB ,guess his nursing a injury, and isnt quite a 100%.But Amorosino is an able replacement imo,and i can well understand Camacho being on the bench. That guy must have run himself into the ground over the last couple of months, and will be a good impact player against France ,though Aguillia is also a very good player.Overall its a very good team ,and may cause France a few problems .
