Tour opener: France in Paris

The Australian Rugby Union confirmed the Wallabies will play Tests against France, England, Italy and Wales on a tour to Europe starting next month.

The ARU confirmed the details Wednesday, with the injury-depleted Wallabies in Argentina preparing for their final Rugby Championship outing against the Pumas this weekend.

The Wallabies were battered in South Africa last week, finishing the match with 14 men, and are desperate to avoid back-to-back losses when they meet Argentina.

Australia's tour will open against France in Paris on November 10, followed by Tests on consecutive Saturdays against England at Twickenham, Italy at Florence and finishing with Wales at Cardiff on December 1.

Australia tour to Europe:
November 10: Australia v France at Stade de France, Paris
November 17: Australia v England at Twickenham, London
November 24: Australia v Italy at Franchi Stadium, Florence
December 1: Australia v Wales at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff

I took it to mean they can't get out of it and have to tour!

Doomsaying Oz media saying they'll lose every game but I wouldn't bet on that, players back from injury I'd go for two from four.

@ Georgesmith...the brand is under threat? Are you serious? There is no brand - apart from the brand of crying, petulant, puffed up, self-important, spoilt pussies.

We could see Oz sliding down the ranks quite rapidly. Loss to Pumas, Wales France England and after loss to S.af. Lets hope they end up in Q finals vs ABs, by then fresh injury free and dangerous. Deans should stay if he can be bothered.

We may just pull off a win v France-depends on which French side turns up and definately will get over the line v Italy. Wales and England-not this time around I'm sorry to say. A development side would be interesting but looking at the JWC results the scoreboard will look like a cricket match...

being in the top 4 seeds obviously is desirable.

But, if you are in the same pool as someone you can beat, what does it matter?

It is who comes out on top of their group, that gets the perceived advantage.

Missing NZ until the final would be the best strategy!

If they are still ranked 1 in 2015.

I would not bet against it!

Have to argee with you @TheTruthHurts ,just what all those battered players need.Just get back in action ,and face 4 tough tests in consecative weeks .I wonder does the ARU even know of the concept of man and game mangement??Or they they going to allow R.Deans(if his still there) to bring over a development squad only, and just dont worry about the results. ala England 1998 Oh now i remember they cant as the RWC seedings follow straight after these tests, and they want to be in the top 4 for that.

Interesting line of Test matches ahead. The more the better. But for ARU, priority has to be the future of the rotten coach who has lost everything, including his face because such is his poor record. R. Deans has destroyed the team and now the Wallabies brand is under threat. Send him back.
