I don't know, but I was not happy at all with the Bok performance. Everywhere, I read about the Boks teaching the Pumas a lesson...blah blah blah. I think it was the opposite. The second half was pretty even, to me. So, there should not have been so many Boks in this team of the week. Barnes at 10 was more deadly than M. Steyn. Mealamu had 80 minutes of pure class. C'mon Bokke! Start playing to your potential.

Payve's link deserves some more views I think! Hilarious! Strauss played like a man possessed when he came on, carrying hard constantly but Mealamu's turnovers and handling had a touch more class I thought. Just as well Strauss had a stormer though, I was so disappointed he didn't fire when he got his opportunities against England as I had championed him for some time. I would love to see Burden get a few run outs as well, he's a quality player. Elsewhere in the front row I thought Figallo played well but Owen Franks was outstanding, every hit he makes is so explosive. Sharpe was only marginally less clumsy than I've seen him before, whether that makes him better than Romano who also worked hard and was a lot more, ahem, sharp, I don't know. Timani when he wasn't bleeding everywhere was good as well with some good offloading. How Morne Steyn was the best 10 I have no idea. Apart from a crossfield kick that I'd expect any top level 10 to pull off when kicking to Habana and a 100% goalkicking record he did absolutely nothing. Carter and Hernandez weren't any worse but I suppose none really stood out.

what happened to king richie being past it in the summer tests??? talks of dropping him for sam cane and using him as an impact sub seem to have been premature and if anything helped McCaws form giving him a kick up the arse... greta shift put in

tweedledee49 .. Adam Ashley-Cooper played quite well, as always, but of course he was selected out of position - as always. The best fullback and also the best outside centre in Australia, for mine - and test after test they select him on the wing, where he gets no opportunity to do anything. Madness.

Echo comments about Mealamu. Amazing turnovers, energy, support play. Still a rock at hooker.

tweedledee49 says...

with Sharpe at 5, georgesmith will not be happy lol anyways, he deserves his spot

I think Ashley-Cooper did well, saving a try and all, I think he was one of the few that were not as terrible as the rest...maybe Barnes too....

jonesy2 says...

thought robinson was good. him and franks had a good battle that franks won but not by much.

obviously laughed when i saw steyn's name there, comedy brilliance as usual planet rugby.

and im assuming that the hooker selection is a mistake which im sure you will fix imminently

The editor says.... No mistake Jonesy2 but it was a close call. Strauss came off the bench and got through a huge amount of work in the loose. Tough on Mealamu yes as he was also impressive.

Yeah Mealamu is very unlucky not to be included, was possibly even the best player across both games. Other than that I'm not too fussed.

Yeah I have to say I'm quite happy with the team pick here - pretty much bang on. The only one I'd maybe change would be Mealamu at hooker but it's a toss of a coin for that one to be honest... Strauss was awesome as well.

Didnt watch the other tests, so cant comment on them. However, Keven Mealamu played like a monster, he was definitely MoM!!! Legend!!!

I think Beale helped the kiwis get selected !!! If he could tackle it would have been 14 less points for ABs

Agree with the side, Sharpe and Digby were the only Aussies who were close to getting a mention in this side.
