Thankfully the depth of Convict rugby will mean the Force will remain a force to be reckoned with and not another bag of easy beat Super Rugby points per season for the Convict conference.

Get rid of Super Rugby. Let Australia, NZ and RSA each have their own domestic competition and create a Heineken Cup style event based on that. Pit the winner against the NH H-Cup winner and there you go...we all win. If the Force are in a position where all their big names have left and they get an extra foreign import than their Australian counterparts then they're clearly in no position to be valid in Super Rugby.

the number of teams shld b reduced to 12.havin teams like lions, rebels, force and cheetahs are pointles.and the conference crap must b abandond,it definitely favours weaker conferences like AUS.atm even AUS top teams r nt as gud as da top teams of othr 2

David Pocock is already a very good player.... thanks to the Force and in particular Jon Mitchell for 'fast tracking' him into competitive rugby.... also thank Robbie Deans for picking and playing him in the Wallaby team ahead of older more established number sevens.
There are only two states producing quality players - and each of these suffered with the expansion of Super rugby franchises. There are many good rugby players being produced through the school rugby system. However, there is no credible competition below Super Rugby level that can be used to prepare future Super Rugby players. This only highlights the lack of real depth of rugby union in Australia. The Doomsday scenario for the Western Force is also likely to happen.... simply because most of the players signed up to play for them are imported in from elsewhere. Perth is hardly a hotbead of rugby union!

You can understand Pococks frustration ,and why he now feels he must move on.The Force for all their efforts just cant attract the top Austalian talant.Which is pretty slim atm ,compared to alot of countries. This is imho the ARUs and O'Neils biggest failing The lack of a domestic competion is now really hindering the development of rugby union in Australia and denying oppotuneites for players who want to play but just arnt yet S15 standard..More and more will Australian S15 francises be filled with forgien born players,or as we have seen already their quality overall will continue to decline In all honesty can any wallaby fan say that atm the Tahs Rebels and Brunbies Force can challange for the S15 championship only the REDS are a credable competior in the S15 atm and that wont last without more talant being produced. The change in format has given Australia a window to do this ,but it is a very small window of oppotunity my best guess is 3 maybe 4 yrs max

Couldn't be a better replacement for Michael Hooper.
I agree with you kkovak O'Neil hasn't really done much for Australian Rugby. We have so much untapped talent and ability which under his watch has been completely neglected. I hope you wrong about the force it would be a shame.

The ARU under O Neill's stewartship has a lot to answer for , the only interest these people have is the well being of QLD and NSW , and they have not even managed that well . The Force are gone as a franchise and will be lucky to survive 5 years . Well done O Neill

Good for him, a player of his quality deserves to be part of a team that at least has a chance of winning. There's no point being one of the best players in the world and then being part of a team that's at the bottom of the table every year.
